We love going to the zoo. One of the best investments that we made after we moved to the suburbs was getting a membership at Brookfield Zoo. Benefits of a membership? We only had to go a couple times before the cost of the membership had already essentially paid for itself. Another benefit? You don’t have to spend the entire day at the zoo when you go. The girls and I can go for an hour or two and it’s ok. If we don’t see everything, the girls know that we’ll be back another time – maybe even in a couple of days.
One of the fun parts about going to the zoo during the summer is the fact that they have extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays. You can go, see some animals, listen to some live music, and not be a sweaty mess.
