A Busy Day Downtown – Checklist Update #14

On a recent Saturday, we crammed a lot into one afternoon but in the process we were able to cross off three different items on the checklist.

During that same week, we happened to go downtown Chicago on three separate days (one evening to the Chicago Children’s Museum, one morning at Adler Planetarium, and then again for the day detailed below.) So, I feel that we can definitely cross off “go downtown” from the list. 🙂

We also checked out the splash pads at Maggie Daley Park and then splashed around at Crown Fountain. Both girls seemed to enjoy simply splashing at the fountain more than the splash pads. I think it’s because they had more space to themselves and could easily avoid getting sprayed. And that took care of “go to splash pads.”

After drying off, the girls and I headed to American Girl Place for afternoon tea and we could mark off “Go to American Girl Place.”

All in all, it was a great day. The girls both had a lot (!!!!!!!) of fun. And, as soon as we got home, they both got in their jammies and fell asleep almost as soon as their heads hit their pillows.
