Ok. If I’m going to post about something “fun” the first, second, and third things that come to mind are all related to our recent trip to Disney World! Of course. 🙂
So, here’s just a sampling of the fun that we had.

My girls and I took a trip to the Field Museum for their free admission day. It was a very fun day! I took a lot of pictures but this really caught my eye. This overlooks the main hall. If you take a couple steps toward the center of this opening, you can see right into the hall. And, you can see how many people are in line to get in. (So glad that we got there early!)
So, technically, this is a week late as this was last week’s challenge. But, better late than never right?
Just take a look at that shopping basket. It may be a bit cliche to refer to that as my happy place. But, come on. How could you not be happy? Some crusty bread, some delicious cheese, a bottle of red, and an assortment of macarons. After a long week, sometimes you just need to do something to spoil yourself.

This week’s photo challenge was actually pretty simple, in my opinion. A picture of change? Well….
Fall has fallen! After the summer temperatures that we’ve had nonstop up until yesterday, we finally have fall temperatures today. The leaves are ever-so-slightly starting to change their colors. The sky is cloudy. A change is in the air. Fall is here.
If you look carefully, you can see a few yellow leaves peeking out from the green.

Honestly, it’s been a while since I posted a Weekly Photo Challenge post. But, after I took this picture at a corn maze, I knew that it would be great for this week’s challenge.
Plus, the pumpkins have me thinking about all things fall…….

The girls and I recently spent the day downtown Chicago. During a walk through Millennium Park, I looked up and knew that this was my response to this week’s challenge. There are many areas in Chicago where you can get this sort of view: half city, half nature.

I know that this is actually a bit late, but I wanted to complete this challenge not just because I love finding interesting color in the every day but this was also going to be my first post with a “gallery” in it. I feel like galleries require a little more planning but I’m looking forward to adding more galleries into my blog.
I love the beautiful lines of spring flowers. Tulips have such a delicate shape yet they are so sturdy as they emerge during the still chilly spring months.

Big girl is three years old now. I am planning baby girl’s first birthday. Right now, the living room floor is covered in toys and I can hear the girls playing in hallway. The floor is a mess and I really should use this time to put away the toys, or start some laundry, or load the dishwasher, or get some grad school work done….but instead…. I’m going to sit here and listen to the laughter with the knowledge that this time will be gone in the blink of an eye. They won’t always want to play together. They won’t always want to snuggle on the couch. They won’t always want to hold my hand. They won’t always want to ride on Daddy’s shoulders. So, for now, the toys will stay on the floor and the laughter in the hallway will continue as long as it can.
